I am Cary Brooks, a branch manager for First Priority Financial, one of the largest mortgage brokerage firms in the country.  I truly enjoy giving people great opportunities in a tough financial climate. 

Knowing I'm helping people achieve their financial goals and dreams is what's kept me in this business through all the ups and downs of 24 years.  My favorite part is being creative and helping young people buy their first homes.  I had a great time helping my daughter and her family purchase their first home last summer!

I started KillerRates.net with the hope that I can help regular folks understand the process of getting a home mortgage.  I see so many people get taken advantage of because unscrupulous mortgage professionals prey on folks who don't know what they're doing. You don't need to make a decision when you feel uncertain and pressured -- you can and should understand the process and the terminology so you can go into your home loan with eyes wide open.

I first entered the home mortgage business in 1986 because I needed money and wanted to quit pushing so much paper and start working with people face-to-face.  Among other things, it has given me the flexibility to spend time with my family and also serve at church as pastor and then in various volunteer capacities. 

When I'm not working on your mortgage or volunteering at my church, I can usually be found on the tennis court or hiking, kayaking, or camping with Jeanne, my wife of 40 years this May.  We have two daughters, one granddaughter and a grandson on the way this summer!
