It's January 6th, have you kept your New Year's Resolution so far?
Well, regardless of the date one of the best things you can do for yourself is to write down your goals. Experts tell you this, of course, over and over again. But very few people actually do it.
Writing down your goals has concrete benefits to you. First, it helps you focus on a few specific things instead of a million vague ideas of what you "should be doing."
Second, it provides a minimum amount of accountability -- at least you know what you wanted on the date you wrote them down. However, if you want to maximize that accountability, go a few steps further: write down action steps you will take toward these goals and then share weekly with a friend how you're doing.
Finally, writing down your goals helps you visualize achieving them. Seeing yourself succeed at your goals is one of the most critical aspects of achieving them.
Okay, enough talk. Stop reading now and write down your goals!
